A Pony Express Christmas is a Christmas novel from love inspired historical that is a marriage of convenience. Jake Bridges is a stock tender at a pony express station.  Leah Hollister is an orphan that has come to Colorado as a mail order bride, who is also bringing Jake’s niece Molly to him. When Leah learns that her groom has died, Jake offers to marry her so that Molly will have someone to look after her while he works.

Jake can offer her a home and friendship but nothing more. But what neither realizes is that Christmas is the time for miracles. Even though it was a fictional novel I am glad that the author included real pony express riders like William Cody who would later become Buffalo Bill Cody. Even before this book I knew Cody was a pony express rider from watching the tv show the Young Riders as a kid. I’ve always loved the Pony express time in history I just wish there was more historical fiction novels about this time period.
