Could've Fooled Me by Jenny Proctor

One of my favorite romance troupes is marriage-of-convenience which isn't super common in contemporary romance but throw in hockey and a former Apies player as the hero I'm hooked. I also wondered what had, had happened to Carter and his twin.  Could've fooled Me answers that one.   Carter's such a sweetheart and Sarah just loves her family, though I have to say I can't believe her brother did what he did.  Though one of my micro troupes is when the heroine doesn't like hockey and ends up dating a hockey player or in Sarah's case married.  And I'm also here for the brother bond the hockey players have on and off the ice. And hockey fan me loved the reference to my real life favorite player.

I liked that this one was one of Jenny's more serious books but her trade mark humor was still there. I also found myself relating to Sarah with the mom aspect. When you and the heroine belong to the same club no wants to belong to it’s hard not to relate and love her. Carter might be a tough hockey player on the ice but he's really a cinnamon roll. My favorite hockey rom com hero tough on the ice and a cinnamon roll with her.

I received a copy of this book from the author as part of a blog tour. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone
