Review of Bleeding Hearts

Amber Stokes upcoming knovel Bleeding Hearts can't wait for itTitle: Bleeding Hearts

Author: Amber Stokes

Chapters: 27 plus epilogue

Genre: Christian Historical Romance/ fiction

Rating: 5 stars.

Bleeding Hearts by Amber Stokes is her debut novel. I have to start out by saying that it is different than any other Christian Historical that I have read in a while. However that is a good thing. It leaves you thinking and touches many different emotions. The only other novel that have read recently that comes close  to making me feel that way was Laura Frantz’  Love's Reckoning. Bleedings Hearts is the perfect title for this novel, because it fits all the characters in the novel.

This is because all of the characters in the novel are searching for something. However most of them do not realize that it Jesus that they need. Bleeding Hearts reminds us that our own hearts are bleeding in some form or another. Either for God or own hearts are bleeding for what breaks God’s.

I enjoyed the novel I didn’t want it to end. Most of the characters were easy to fell in love with, but I have to say that Myghal was my favorite. I hope that he gets his own story someday. With Sally I felt for her, cried with her, laughed with her and rejoiced with her. Bleeding Hearts is a great debut novel that I felt blessed to be able to read and review for the author.

I was given an advanced e reader copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Amber is also doing a giveaway as well.

  2. Great review Carissa, You really came up with the premise in a precise manner. I am so excited for Amber. She is my editor so am thrilled she has her own debut novel. I really like that it is different. I think the CBA market needs this.
