Sarah's Choice

Sarah’s Choice
Staring Rebecca St. James-Sarah Collins
Julian Bailey – Matt Evans
Logan White- Megan
I gave this movie five stars, we need more movies like this to come out in theaters.
Sarah’s unplanned pregnancy leads her to face her future before she is ready to face it. Sarah has to make a life changing decision, she has two choices. One choice falls in God’s will while the other is outside God’s will. What choice will Sarah make, watch the movie and find out.

Review of Marrying Miss Marshal

Title: Marrying Miss Marshal
Author: Lacy Williams
Series:   Love inspired Historical
Chapters:  23 plus epilogue
Pages: 279
Genre: Christian Historical Fiction/ western
Rating:  5 stars
What can I say I love western’s that have a strong female character, who also know when it’s time to trust and lean on other, and it being a Christian western doesn’t hurt.  That is hard to find in most western novels.  The female is either so tough that you don’t believe the character or she’s a damsel in distress waiting for the hero to ride in and save the day.  You normally don’t find one with a strong female character who knows when to lean on others, let alone a Christian western novel. However with Marrying Miss Marshal by Lacy Williams you get all three. You get a strong female in the west, who learns to lean on others and it’s a Christian novel.
Danna Carpenter is not your typical western female, she is the town marshal.  She took over the job after her husband died.  Even for the “wild west” she is not normally what you would expect to find as a marshal. She’s tough and good at her job, but she wants the one thing that every woman wants a family.  Chas O’Grady is a tenderfoot from back east who’s trying to track down cattle thieves. He ends up with the job as her deputy, which leads to the two of them having to get married.  Danna’s trying to prove herself to the town. Will Chas and Danna catch the cattle thieves? Save her job? And discovered that they belong together?
I know that most people most likely don’t like strong women in western novels, but to me that’s what makes them believable, because in the old west the damsels in distress didn’t last.  If you like Mary Connealy’s books then you will like Lacy Williams debut novel. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to her next book.

Review of all that's bitter and sweet

sorry for another biography book review, but it's all I've been able to finish in the last few weeks because of school.

Title: All that is Bitter and Sweet
Author: Ashley Judd
Series:
Chapters: 25 plus epilogue
Pages: 406
Genre: nonfiction biography
Rating:  4 ½ stars
All that’s bitter and sweet is told from Ashley’s point of view.  She talks about her childhood, and how it affected her. Her biography is different than that of her mom and sister.  She also focuses on her volunteer work around the world.  It is a little bit confusing to read, it flips back and forth between the past and the present. All in all, All that’s bitter and sweet is good book it’s worth a read

Review of Through my Eyes

Title: Through my Eyes
Author: Tim Tebow
Chapters: 21
Pages:260
Genre: BIOGRAPHY
Rating: 5 STARS 10/10
Through my Eyes is Tim Tebow’s story from his point of view. You get his story from his own lips; not any spin the media wants to put in.
Even though I am not really a huge football fan, I really enjoyed this book. I mean I am a fan of a school that’s football team has the record of the longest years of loses to another school. Kentucky hasn’t won in a game against Florida or Tennessee in almost two decades. It’s a great feeling to see that the NFL has a role model that young kids can look up to. Being a Kentucky fan I had heard the name Tim Tebow before, but it wasn’t till I read Playing with Purpose that I learned more about him and two other Christian football players headed to the NFL, and all I can say is the NFL needs more guys like these; and that I will also be praying that they can stand strong in their faith through everything life throws their way.
Even if don't like football I recomend that you read this book.

Review of Out of Control

Title: Out of Control
Author: Mary Connealy
Series:   The Kincaid Brides book 1
Chapters: 21
Pages: 331
Genre: Christian Historical fiction
Rating:  5 stars 10/10
Out of Control is the first book in the Kincaid Brides it’s the fourth book that I’ve read by Mary Connealy. Like all of her other books it didn’t disappoint. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
The only thing that Rafe Kincaid wants is to run his ranch and get his family back together.  Julia Gilliland wants to explore the cave that she has accidently found even though Rafe warns her that it is dangerous. She also wants her half-sister and step-mother to be safe. Will these two both get what they want and a chance at happy ever after too.  It was a little different than other books that I have read by her, but still good.
I normally don’t like books with hero’s on the cover I like to use my imagination and the description in the book of the hero to come up with my “own” view of the hero. The hero on the cover works.
