Review of Since You've been gone

Title: Since you’ve been gone

Author: Morgan Matson

Chapters: 18

Pages: 449

Genre: teen chick lit

Rating: 4 stars

Since You’ve Been Gone is the third book that I have read by Morgan Matson. It was a good read but I didn’t like it as well as I did the first two. Emily is left behind when her best friend leaves town without any notice. What follows is a journey as Emily deals with the list and her to cope without her best friend.

Since You’ve been Gone is a coming of age story.

Review of Still Lolo

Title: Still Lolo

Author: Lauren Scruggs and the Scruggs Family

Series: no
Chapters: 32 plus epilogue

Pages: 248

Genre: Memoir non fiction

Rating: 5 stars

Still Lolo is a memoir of Lauren Scruggs and her family and the tragedy that changed their lives. But through all of it they didn’t lose their faith. Though Lauren lost her left eye and hand in an accident with an airplane poralle she didn’t let that stop here. She’s uses what she went through to reach young girls. To show them that worth is not in what they look like, but who they are on the inside.
The book has an introduction by Bethany Hamilton the young surfer who lost her arm to a shark bite. Both young women stood strong in their faith in God. He was there strength when they had none.
I enjoyed Lauren’s story and learned a lot. Still Lolo is a heartwarming story of courage, strength, and overcoming life’s struggles.

Review of Veronica Mars The Thousand Dollar Tan Line

The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line (Veronica Mars, #1)Title:  Veronica Mars The Thousand Dollar Tan line

Author: Rob Thomas

Chapters: 39

Is a novel that picks up where the movie ends basically it was a pretty good read but I could have done without the language. Other than that it was pretty good.

Review of The Chase

The Chase- Janet Evanovich 2/25/14Title: The Chase

Author: Janet Evanovich

Series:  Fox and O’Hare

Chapters: 36

Pages: 303

Genre: Suspense

Rating: 4 stars

The Chase is the second book in the Fox and O’Hare series that picks up with the first one leaves off. The romantic tension between Kate and Nick is getting worse, but neither will admit it. The action and suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat and continue to flip those pages.

There are a few places that caution is needed and there is some language.

Review of Paige Turned

Paige Turned: A Paige Alder Novel: Erynn Mangum: 9781612913223: Amazon.com: BooksTitle: Paige Turned

Author: Erynn Mangum

Series: Paige Alder series book 3

Chapters: 20

Pages: 336

Genre: Christian Chick lit

Rating: 5 stars

Paige Turned is the third book in the Paige Alder series.  A book that wraps up the series perfectly at least in my opinion.  Like all of Erynn’s other books and series I fell in love with the character’s especially Paige. I think that it was because I found myself relating to Paige the most. I could see myself in Paige. I felt like I learned right along with Paige.
I love how Erynn’s books have the right mixture of life, faith, and laughter.  Paige Turned was no different.  Erynn’s character’s seem real and the problems that they face are the same problems that we face in real life. However through it all God’s love and promises shine through in each novel. Out of all of Erynn’s novels Paige is the one at least in my opionon who grew or changed the most.
After reading Paige Turned I cannot decide which of Erynn’s heroes are my favorites. It’s a toss up between Jack from the Maya Davis series and Tyler from the Paige Alder series. They both or great.

The Paige Alder series is the perfect series for those who like chick lit but also enjoy reading clean romances.
