Review of Murder in the First Edition

Murder in the First Edition (Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery, #3)Title:  Murder in the First Edition

Author: Lauren Elliott

Series: Beyond the Page Bookstore mystery book 3

Chapters:

Pages: 320

Genre: Cozy Mystery

Rating: 3 stars

Publisher: Kensington

Murder in the First Ediition is the 3rd book in the Beyond the Page Bookstore series by Lauren Elliott and it is the Christmas season in Greyborne Harbor.  And a first editon copy of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is stolen from the scene of a murder and Addie feels like she must help the police find the book.
As the third book in a series it is a standalone mystery but the characters develop over the three books.  So it is best to read the books in order.  But in the midst of a murder investigation you do find a town preparing for Christmas making this one a Christmas cozy.

Christmas Cow Bells review

 Title:  Christmas Cow Bells

Author: Mollie Cox Bryan

Series:  A Buttermilk Creek Mystery book 1

Chapters: 54

Pages: 336

Genre: Cozy Mystery

Rating: 4 stars

Publisher: Kensington Publishing Corporation

Christmas Cow Bells is the first book in the A Buttermilk Creek Mystery series by Mollie Cox Brown and who doesn't love a mystery with three sweet cows. Brynn MacAlister has started a cheese-making business complete with having her own cows for milk for the cheese.  When she finds herself witnessing a fire turned  murder.    She does her best to avoid anything to do with it for the most part but someone has set their eyes on her, and she becomes the next target.

Christmas Cow Bells is the first cozy mystery that I've read that features cows and a micro-dairy and cheese farm.  As well as the first cozy that I've read set in Virginia.  This was a pretty fast read and I enjoyed every minute of it.  This one is a sweet Christmas cozy featuring sweet loveable animals.  This cozy is perfect for fans of Christmas cozies and cozies featuring animals.
There’s also reprices  at the back of the book for the cooks and chefs out there.

Apple Cider Slaying by Julie Anne Lindsey it is the first cozy mystery that I’ve read set in West Virginia. Set on an apple farm. Winnie will do whatever it takes to save her grandma’s apple orchard when a murder occurs on the property and her grandma is the prime suspect. She doesn’t trust Sheriff Colton Wise to look elsewhere. Winnie doesn’t trust the former Marine turned small town sheriff to look elsewhere. So decides to clear her grandma’s name. Only to find herself in a heap of trouble.
This one was a cute Christmas cozy mystery. Winnie’s relationship with her grandma was easy to relate to. I also enjoyed the recipes at the end of the book.  I look forward to the next book in the series.
This book is perfect for fans of cozy mysteries set on farms, as well as Christmas cozies.

A Down Home Christmas review

 Title:  A Down home Christmas

Author: Liz Talley

Genre: Christmas, Hallmark

Rating: 3 stars

Publisher:  Hallmark Publishing

A Down Home Christmas by Liz Talley is everything that makes Hallmark movies so good in book form.  In this one Country music singer Kris Trabeau finally goes home for Christmas but not to spend the holiday with his aunt, but to get her to move to Nashville. However his aunt and her neighbor Tory have other ideas. Can they convince Kris that Mississippi is home not Tennessee.
This book is a Christmas Rom com in book format that lets you imagine what the characters look like. Complete with a loveable puppy. This book gave me all the Christmasy feels.  It’s a great book to read while you wait for the next Hallmark channel Christmas movie.

 Title:  Down in Flames

Series: A Webb’s Glass Shop Mystery book 6

Chapters:

Publisher: Kensington Publishing Corporation

Down in Flames by Cheryl Hollon is the 6th book in the A Webb’s Glass Shop Mystery.  Savannah’s has finally settled into life in Florida and looking forward to her future when she finds herself involved in another murder mystery.
This one wasn’t my favorite of the series but it was still an enjoyable read.  I would recommend this cozy for fans of other crafty cozy mysteries.   This one is also a fairly quick read.
