8 by Lynn Cahoon is part of the Farm to Fork Mystery series. However it is not part of the main series, it's one of the in between novellas. And it doesn't have to be read in order. Though I do recommend at least waiting to read it after book 4 as some of the characters in the novella don't get introduced till book four. I will say that this mystery was the one that had me the most emotional out of all of the ones in the series. I think it's in part to the fact that the targets of this one are Veterans, Veterans without any family it seems. And they have a soft spot in my heart.   This novella though on the slower side pacing wise it was till a fast read.

This is a novella in the Farm to Fork Mystery series and Angie and the gang are at a haunted historic Prison. When they discover another murder victim. But unlike the times before they are trapped in locked building with a killer. This short little cozy mystery novella gave me a bit of clue feels. This is a quick read in the farm to fork mystery series.

With this one being the 5th book in the series it’s hard to summarize without giving away events from previous books. This is a cozy mystery series that needs to be read in order.

Perfect for fans of food cozies and cozies set in small towns.

`A Field guide to Homicide is the sixth book in the Cat Latimer Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon and in this one, Seth has a blast from his past that he wasn't expecting.  An old army buddy of his, he thought died when they were stationed in Germany only to find him murder in the Colorado wildness is a shock to Seth. But on that same note Cat has the feeling that Seth is hiding something about his past from her, and everything is a little tense.  And of course like always her uncle doesn't want her to get involved in trying to solve the murder. But Cat's an author she's naturally nosy 

I did like that in this one the murder had nothing to do with the writer's retreat. But even though it didn't Cat still found herself trying to solve the murder because of the victim's ties to Seth.  All in all, I enjoyed this installment in the Cat Latimer mystery series that I didn't even mind the slight cliff hanger at the end of the book. Which means that hopefully there's at least one more book in the series in the future.

Sconed to Death by Lynn Cahoon is the fifth book in the Cat Latimer Mystery series and its time for another writers retreat.  Cat doesn't need to get sucked into another murder, but alas she does and this time the prime suspect is the owner of the bakery. With whom Shauna kind of has bad blood with.  Cat agrees to ask around even though her uncle the town police chief and Seth want her to stay out of it.  Just can't help it.  Cat a writer and retreat owner by trade just can't seem to stay away from solving mysteries.   

With it being a writer's retreat series you get to meet all kinds of crazy characters which keeps the stories interesting and moving right along. These cozy are always a quick read.  Even though each mystery is a standalone it is best to read the mysteries in order so to get all the little details you get as you go along and not risk spoiling yourself for previous books.  

Perfect for fans of most cozy mysteries.

Restaurant owner Angie Turner finds herself investigating another murder in the third installment of the Farm to Fork mystery series in One Potato, Two Potato, Dead by Lynn Cahoon in which another one of her employees is a suspect.

Angie will have to find the real killer and run her restaurant without becoming the killer’s next target. 

While this series is a culinary cozy it focuses on bringing farm fresh food to the customers of her restaurant trying to plan meals based on what’s in season.  The recipes included at the end is also a nice touch.

I would recommend this one to fans of culinary cozies as well as animal cozies.  I also suggest reading the books in series order.

     Slay in Character is the fourth book in the Cat Latimer mystery series by Lynn Cahoon. Cat’s writer’s retreats at her bed and breakfast is going great. This mystery takes us to a ghost town not far from the bed and breakfast. And another murder mystery lands in Cat’s lap. While trying to balance the retreat and her own writing needs.

     This one was a fairy quick read and I did enjoy it. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. Like the previous books in this series it reads fast.  I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.

Review of Killer Green Tomatoes

In Killer Green Tomatoes the second Farm to Fork Mystery by Lynn Cahoon Angie just wants to focus on getting her resturant fully open she doesn't want to get drawn into another murder investigation. But that becomes wishful thinking when the cousin of her sous chef becomes the main murder suspect.   Now in order to get her sous chef back without any family drama she will have to solve a murder and fast. 

I loved this one more than the first book in the series. It moved faster than the first book I am guessing because the main characters were established in first book.  I do suggest that you do indeed start with the first book in the series first, Who Moved my Goat Cheese?  This book is great for fans of cozy mysteries with animals, food, cooking and restaurants.
