I have to admit I loved this one more than I thought I would. Though Rogue untouched is my favorite in this series because Rogue will always be my favorite Marvel heroine. I did enjoy Mockingbird Strike Out. I love the spy aspect in this one. Not to mention seeing Hawkeye in a different light. But I love that it focused on Bobbi Morse AKA Mockingbird AKA Agent 19.

Even though this wasn't a cannon comic but a novel it had me looking at Bobbi in a new light.  I hate to say it but she's better than Black Widow.  And I just have to say that the MCU robbed comic fans. We could have Mockingbird but instead we only get them hinting at her in a TV show because the writers added characters in Age of Ultron, and they later had to fix a plot hole.

After Watching Hawkeye and reading all the Hawkeye comics I could that had Kate Bishop in it, I still wanted more Kate. Because I'm not holding out hope that the MCU is going to give us the young Avengers.  And I got more Kate in this one. Hawkeye: Bishop Takes King is the perfect combination of the comics and the TV show. Kate in the book is more like TV show Kate and the glimpses we get of Clint is more comic Clint than either MCU or TV Show Clint.  But what I loved most is seeing grow and become more of herself. Though Lucky stole the show.

Rogue untouched by Alisa Kwitney review

    Rogue Untouched is a novel imaging what teenage Rogue’s life was like before she joined X-Men. Rogue has always been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. And I loved young adult Rogue in this. It’s how I always imagined she would have been as a teen and young adult. I wish this book has existed when I was a teen as the Rogue I got as a teen with the movies was a bit of a letdown. But this book made up for that.

Not to mention a certain Cajun. I also loved seeing Gambit before the X-Men as well. On the run from the thieves and assassin guilds. He’s not gambit in this one he’s more Remy but still the same flirty Cajun and I love it. As Rogue and Gambit have always been one of my favorite ships since before, I knew what a ship was.

This one wraps up the storyline but it does leave it open for more.
