Maeve is an Irish princess the daughter of the high king of Ireland. She may be the youngest princess but she's also the feisty one with the temper to match her red hair. She wants to be more than just a princess; she wants to learn to fight.

I enjoyed Deception's Princess; I enjoy reading books set in Ireland. So it was neat to read one set in ancient Ireland, as I haven't read many of those. This book is based on the myth of Queen Maeve who just happened to be an Irish warrior. A part of me can't help but wonder if Disney based their movie Brave on the same myth even though the movie was about a Scottish princess. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
