Death a Sketch is the third book in the A Paint and Shine mystery series by Cheryl Hollon. Miranda Trent is still determined to get her moonshine distillery up and running to keep the family farm while running her painting business in the Kentucky mountains.

I have to say this one was my favorite of the series as the setting and the characters have been established and the reader gets to enjoy the mystery more. I can’t wait for the next one.

Draw and Order is the second book in the Paint and Shine series by Cheryl Hollon.  In this one Miranda Trent is still doing her painting tours while trying to get her moonshine distillery up and running. But it ends up being one thing after another trying to stop her. I enjoyed this one more than I did the first one, and I think it's because it was able to focus more on the mystery aspect and Miranda's business because so much of the character development took place in the first book.  

I love cozy mysteries, and I especially love the ones set in my home state of Kentucky and write the characters and state in a truthful light. And Cheryl did that.  Miranda is a character that reminds me of myself in many ways especially the childhoods   of running barefoot around the family farm. I spent a many childhood summer days doing just that.  What stood out to me was seeing my great aunt's name as a character in the book, Miranda's aunt Ora Cable does indeed have a name that fits in Kentucky farming country.  This is the first time I've seen that name in a book.  It's tidbits like that that make the Kentucky setting and people come alive.  I look forward to the next book in the series.

Still Knife Painting by Cheryl Hollon is the first book in A Paint and Shine Mystery. It’s only the second cozy mystery series I’ve read that set in Kentucky. And I’ve enjoyed this one.

It’s set in a small town in Eastern Kentucky and Miranda Trent the main character after inheriting her uncles farm is determined to open a cultural experience tourist place. That includes hiking painting classes in which the clients are walked through painting the local scenery with a moonshine tasting. She also hopes to open a moonshine distillery on the property.

But all her hopes are dashed when there’s a murder on the property. And she becomes the prime suspect. She’s determined to find the real killer and clear her name and save her business.

I loved reading a cozy mystery set in Kentucky. I’m a sucker for books with a Kentucky setting. There are a few stereotypes in the book some bad some neutral. Miranda’s favorite soda is Ale Eight which just happens to be Kentucky’s soft drink. They also refer to one of her sheriffs deputy’s as Barney Fife based on the way he acts. And the sad thing is there are some small town deputy’s that so remind me of Barney Fife.

The residents of the town are iffy of outsiders in the book which does sometimes happen in Kentucky small towns.

Cracked to Death is the third book in A Webb's Glass Shop Mystery series by  Cheryl Hollon.  Savannah has settled in to running Webb's Glass shop and creating and teaching classes her newest one is a recyclable-bottle workshop. When the body of a diver Martin Lane is found with bottles that tie him to Amanda Blake, Savannah's shop manager and friend. 

Now Savannah must race against the clock to prove her friends innocence and find the real killer. When she solved her father's and Hugh' murder she didn't plan continuing to solve murders but yet here she is again. 

Cracked to Death was more fast paced than the first book, but it is still a typical cozy mystery that any cozy mystery lover would enjoy.

In Pane and Suffering by Cheryl Hollon the First book in the A Webb's Glass Shop mystery series Savannah Webb comes back to St Petersburg Florida to run her father's glass shop after his sudden death  only to find her father's friend Hugh Trevor dead of a heart attack. Savannah thinks that the two deaths from the same thing is worth investigating. The police however do not. 

They think that both deaths are from natural causes and do not want to investigate farther. So Savannah takes it upon herself to solve the mystery.  But can she solve it before she becomes the next victim.  

I enjoyed this cozy mystery that introduced me to the world of glass making as well as an adorable puppy as well and a British guy whos trying to make a goal of a pub in St. Petersburg Florida.  This cozy was a little on the slow side than most but I think that was because it was trying to set up the setting for future books in the series. I do look forward to reading more books in this series.
