Move over Superman and Clark Kent. It's Lois's turn to shine. Fallout takes place before Lois meets Clark Kent. Her father's job in the Army has kept Army Brat Lois moving around, everywhere she's lived she's managed to get into trouble. In Metropolis is going to be different.

It was nice to read about Lois as a teenager. The tag of comparing it to Veronica Mars and I was hooked, and the mention of her online friend Smallville guy it was like a trip to my teenage years. 

Review of The Death code

The Death Code picks up where the Murder Complex leaves off. Meadow wants to finish what she started in The Murder complex but she doesn't know if she's going to be able to pull it off. I actually enjoyed book two more so than book one.  

The ending was a good. It summed everything up and gave an ending that was perfect for the books, but also left it open at least to me for the possibility of   another book.

Nowhere but Here is the first book in the Thunder Road series. It is a series about a motorcycle club. Emily has thought for her whole life that her dad didn't want her. That he left her and her mother.  What she doesn't knew is that they couldn't be farther from the truth. Oz has only wanted one thing and that is to become a member of the reign of terror.  He believes that Emily is going to ruin it for him.  I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I would say that is a new adult book because there are some scenes that would not suitable for younger readers.

Bake Me a Match picks up where leaves off Annie has made a decision about her job. But other aspects of her future or still hazy. She still doesn't know where she stands with Zach. But Annie is learning to trust God with her future.

Bake Me a Match was a fairy quick read and for the most part a good wrap up to the Lauren Holbrook series. 

Review of The Mistress of Tall Acre

The Mistress of Tall Acre is the newest book by Laura Frantz. Just like her previous books it was awesome.   The Mistress of Tall Acre is a sound alone novel, set during the 18th century at the end of the American Revolution.   I enjoyed this stand alone novel; it was nice that the whole story was in one book.  

Seamus Ogilvy is a scared General inside and out. The war was long and hard.  Some of the injuries of war are easier to get off than others.   He just wants to get Tall Acre back up to the noble home it was till the war. He also wants to raise his daughter Lily-Cate. But more than anything he wants to live the past in the past.

Sophie Menzies has been all alone since her brother left to fight, her mother's death and her father running back to Scotland.  She's all but given up.  Sophie is strong in her faith and is determining to follow God's leading. However with nowhere else to go Sophie agrees to marry Seamus. An arrangement that they both thing was always be in name only.   His daughter needs a mother and Sophie needs a home. I normally don't love marriage of convenience stories, but I loved this one. Because it didn't take away from the story if it anything it added to the story. 

I love how that both Seamus and Sophie are older a little older late twenties and earlier thirties.  It made it easier to relate to the characters.  The fact that Sophie was strong in her faith, because at many through the novel many times it is the only thing getting her through.  Both Seamus and Sophie have a lot to learn not only about each other, but life, and most importantly faith. The journey to the ending is full of twist and turns but all so worth it.

The Mistress of a Tall Acre is a fast paced read that you will not want to put down.  While Sophie has become my new favorite heroine of Laura's and Seamus is my new favorite hero for reasons I can't give away without giving away the story; it is all the characters that shape the story.   Without the supporting characters as well The Mistress of Tall Acre wouldn't be the story it is. And Laura adding a new twist to her writing. She added a bit of mystery and suspense to her historical romance and I love it.
