The White Chocolate Christmas wish by Jess Mastorakos is part of the Christmas Kisses and Cookie Crumbs novella collection. But it’s also a Charlotte Oaks short story. So if you loved that series and Christmas novella then this books is for you.

After Hope and Colton find a Christmas in Charlotte Oaks bucket list inside he’s determined to make it a Christmas she’ll always remember. This was a sweet short story only 80 pages which I read in about an hour. After reading How I love you I wanted more of Colton and Hope and this Christmas story was the right amount for those two characters. And I loved that Gertie the goat made an appearance.

Just when I think I know which hero from Love In Charlotte Oaks is my favorite, I get thrown a curve ball. First it was Riley and then we got broody Travis. But now we have loyal sometimes to a fault and slightly grumpy Adam Wilson. The Oldest Wilson brother former Marine and town cop. I’m pretty sure him and Travis are tied for favorite with Riley being a close second.

Then we have Paisley Stevens, former music manager turned Charlotte Oaks 911 dispatcher. We first met Paisley in No Place Like Home, the first one in the series. Yes, the books, even though each is a standalone, need to be read in order. I admit I didn’t like Paisley at first but in this one I loved her. And as a fellow big sister she’s easy to relate to.

Paisley and Adam’s relationship may be my favorite of the series. I love their banter. Their banter throughout the series as the one couple we’ve seen grow and change throughout the whole series. Another reason to read in order. So, you don’t miss anything. So needless to say, I loved these two older siblings butting heads and get more of their back stories of why they are the way they are. Yes, this one has flashback chapters. And of course, this one also features everyone’s favorite matchmaker goat Gertie. And I also enjoyed seeing a character with my name even she was only a secondary character.

In Write what you Know the fourth book in the Love In Charlotte Oaks Jess Mastorakos does it again. Another laugh out rom com with a Marine hero. I thought Riley Conrad would be my favorite hero in this series, but then I met Marine Staff Sergeant Travis Wilson. Who just happens to have the one Marine MOS that’s weakness for me in a romance hero. A slight bad boy Marine with a heart of gold.

And Aurora St John is my favorite heroine and the one I relate to the most as a fellow Marine brat the daughter of lifer Marine. And of course, I could relate to what she said about growing up because I have said something similar. And Rory as she’s called by everyone, but Travis writes rom coms and that’s currently my hobby.

To me Write what you know is the realistic book I’ve read that Jess has written. And Gertie the goat is starting to grow on me.

As the Crow Flies by Jess Mastorakos review

I’m not going to lie I’ve wanted Riley’s book since No Place like Home. And in As the Crow Flies I finally got it. And I’m glad that that the heroine for this story was Aubree Cole because book worms need happy ending too.

Riley Conrad might be a famous country singer, but he’s got a heart of gold he’s no heartbreaker. But what made him a favorite is what he went through in the first two books, yes, read the books in order. Plus, he’s got a heart for veterans. Aubree Coles feels like the invisible sister. But Riley sees her. This on the page romance might seem like it moved too fast, but the romance is technically six years and two books in the making. To me it’s the best of the series.

Plus I did not see that plot twist and slight cliff hanger ending coming.
