Crime Scene Conspiracy by Jessica R Patch

Title: Crime Scene Conspiracy

Author: Jessica R Patch

Ch: 16

Pg: 224

Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating: 4.5 stars

Publisher: love inspired suspense

The first time I read Jessica Patch was with A Cry in the Dark and that book gave me nightmares. The book is no worse than a Criminal Minds episode which is my comfort show. But the setting of A Cry in the dark hit too close to home. But that aside I loved the book and had me hooked on Jessica’s writing.

So I knew I had to jump at a chance to Crime Scene Conspiracy. I loved the Texas setting and Texas Ranger Emily O’Connell. And crime scene clean up guy Stone Spencer was pretty cool too. While I read this one in September it’s actually a suspense set at Christmas. I loved the banter between Stone and Emily. As well as him accepting Emily for the strong and confident woman she is heck I think it makes him love her more. And just like Jessica’s previous suspense books the book has more suspense than romance which I love.

Mountain Hostage Review

Mountain Hostage (K-9 Mountain Guardians #2) by Hope White | GoodreadsTitle:  Mountain Hostage

Author: Hope White

Series: K-9 Mountain Guardians 2

Pages:224

Genre: Christian romantic Suspense

Rating: 3 stars

Publisher:  Love Inspired Suspense

After being rescued by search and rescue volunteer Jack Monroe and his K-9 partner Romeo Zoe Pratt is determined to find her friend and clear her name.

Mountain Hostage is a typical Love Inspired suspense.  It is a short read but it is action-packed and fast-paced. Like most Love inspired books I was able to finish it in a day. I have to say that Romeo was my favorite character in the book. I look forward to the rest of the books in the series.

Title:  No Way Out

 Author: Susan Sleeman

Series: Love Inspired Suspense, The Justice Agency

Chapters:  18 plus epilogue

Pages: 218

Genre:  Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating:  4 ½ stars

No Way Out by Susan Sleeman is the first book that I have read by her and it will not be the last.  It is a book in the Justice Agency series. An Agency founded by siblings who have law enforcement backgrounds in order to help others.
I enjoyed reading this novel. I like romantic suspense that has a balance between the suspense and romance, and Susan Sleeman’s books have the right balance.  I highly suggest.  No way Out and the rest of The Justice Agency books as well as others by Susan Sleeman.

Fireman Dad book review

Title: Fireman Dad
Author: Betsy St. Amant
Series:   love inspired
Chapters: 15 plus Epilogue
Pages: 214
Genre: Romance
Rating:  5 stars 10/10
The daughter of a fireman and a widow of another Marissa isn’t sure she wants to give love another chance. She wants to raise her son and focus on him. She never thought that one man that she fell for would be a fireman, who becomes her son’s hero. What is a woman to do who’s lost her faith? Will she return to God’s loving arms, and trust His will or will she continue to run?
I first discovered Betsy St. Amant when I read her book Return to Love. A book about an aquerimen worker who is a penguin keeper; who’s fighting to protect them and gets a second chance at love. The book caught my eye because it had my favorite animal in it penguins. From the first book to Fireman Dad Betsy St.Amant’s books have been wonderful reads. With messages of God’s love and faithfulness woven through the story. Her books combine some of the elements that I love to read about; God, laugther, and love. One of the great things about her romance novels are that they are clean.
Safe for teens to read, to see “couples” having God at the center of their relationship; even though they go through troubles with God first they can get through everything. Just like in real life God never promised easy just possible.

Review of Trail of Lies

Title: Trail of Lies
Author: Margaret Daley
Series: Love/inspired Suspense Texas Ranger Justice Book 4
Chapters: 14
Pages: 216
Genre: Suspense love story
Rating:  5 stars

Daniel Boone Riley is a Texas Ranger with a failed marriage and a teenage son who doesn’t want anything to do with him. Melora Hudson is a women dealing with her husband’s body turning up two years after he disappeared. All she wants is protect her daughter. To do that she will have to trust Daniel, can she do that? Her judgment in the past hasn’t been all that. Can Daniel and Melora work together to solve her husband’s murder? Will they be able to find love again together?
Even though Trail of Lies is the fourth book in the Texas Ranger series it can be read separately.  Even though the main ‘event’ happened in the first book you can still caught on to what is going on.
The first three books in the series are:
Daughter of Texas Terri Reed

Body of Evidence Lenora Worth

Face of Danger Valerie Hansen

here are two more books in the Series coming out; one Threat of Exposure Lynette Eason came out this mouth

The final book Out of Time by Shirlee McCoy comes out in June. The first three were just as good as Trail of Lies.
