Attempted Mountain Abduction by Jessica R Patch

Title:  Attempted Mountain Abduction

Author: Jessica R Patch

Ch: 14 plus epilogue

Pg: 208

Series: Elite Protectors book 1

Genre:  Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating: 4.5 stars

Publisher: Love Inspired

Bridge Spencer

Wendy Dawson

Molly

Texas Crime Scene Cleaners

Attempted Mountain Abduction is the first book in the Elite Protectors series by Jessica R Patch. I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would as, I'm not a huge fan of second chance romances. Because I don't find them believable nor is the reason for the break up a good one. However with the romance in this one it is a romantic suspense with an equal balance of suspense and romance though it leans more to the suspense the heroine Wendy   had very good reason for ending things with the hero Bridge Spencer whom readers will remember from the Texas Crime Scene Cleaners.  The suspense and Molly the little girl in the story who is very much on the spectrum.  And written well. As Autism is a spectrum and if you know one person whose Autistic you know one person.  And the romance grew on as I read on.  I will say I do prefer the author's romantic suspense to her thrillers. I loved getting to know Bridge more and Molly and even Wendy and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Deadly Christmas Inheritance by Jessica Patch review

Title: Deadly Christmas Inheritance
Author: Jessica Patch
Ch: 15
Pg: 228
Series: Texas Crime Scene Cleaners
Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense
Rating: 5 stars
Publisher: Love Inspired

Deadly Christmas Inheritance is the third book in the Texas Christmas scene cleaner’s series by Jessica Patch and I have to say that it is my favorite of the series. Mainly because I'd wanted Rhode Spencer's story since the first book. But I also loved learning more about Teegan as well. While I do love a Christmas story from time to time. My favorite Christmas stories tend to be those of the romantic suspense variety and unfortunately for me those tend to be few. But with these one based on experience with the authors previous books I was going to get  page turning story with the right balance of suspense and romance and I was not disappointed.

I loved that Rhode was going to do whatever it took to protect Teegan and her twins even though its a shock. I was glad to get more of his back story after getting bits and pieces of it in the first two books.  While the suspense kept me turning pages the love story and the possibility of a Christmas romance was also intriguing and I had to find out how the story between Teegan and Rhode was going to end.

Trail of Threats by Jessica R Patch review

Trail of Threats by Jessica R Patch is the six book in Mountain Country K-9 but can be read as a standalone. Sadie Owen’s is determined to give her son a life she’s not looking for love and neither is Officer Rocco Manelli he wants to protect and serve. But then Sadie becomes a target and everything changes. I loved how Sadie didn’t give up and was willing to fight but her son and his service dog stole the book. This suspense novel had me turning pages late into the night because I had to know what happened. However this one isn’t as dark as her FBI:Strange Crime unit. This is the romantic suspense most readers enjoy.

I can’t wait to read more by the author and more in the series.

The Garden Girls by Jessica R Patch review

 Title: The Garden Girls

Author: Jessica R Patch

Ch: 30 plus epilogue

Pg: 367

Series: Strange Crimes

Genre: Christian Suspense with a hint of romance

Rating: 5 stars

Publisher: love inspired

I loved The Garden Girls. I have to say it might be my favorite of the series. But then I’ve wanted Tiberius Ty’s story since the first book Her Darkest Secret. And it didn’t give me nightmares like A Cry in Dark thought that was because it was in my backyard. But after reading The Garden Girls I’m not going to look at dogwood flowers the same way again.

I’m not going to lie Ty give me Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds vibes. And I loved his friendship with Owen. I love their banter.

Though this one kept me guessing from page one more so than the previous books. I have to say that I didn’t see that twist. Patch knows how to write page turning suspense that’s still faith filled.

Cold Case Target by Jessica R Patch review

Title: Cold Case Target

Author: Jessica R Patch

Ch: 14

Pg: 208

Series: Texas Crime scene cleaners

Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating: 4 stars

Cold Case Target kept me on my toes. I ended up finishing it in one day because I just had to know how it ended. Like with other books by this author, the balance between suspense and romance is the perfect balance. But what stands out to me the most is that Sissy's and Beau faith is clear though out the book. And while I'm normally not a fan of second chance romance but I found Sissy's and Beau story bittersweet and I love the ending we get.

Crime Scene Conspiracy by Jessica R Patch

Title: Crime Scene Conspiracy

Author: Jessica R Patch

Ch: 16

Pg: 224

Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating: 4.5 stars

Publisher: love inspired suspense

The first time I read Jessica Patch was with A Cry in the Dark and that book gave me nightmares. The book is no worse than a Criminal Minds episode which is my comfort show. But the setting of A Cry in the dark hit too close to home. But that aside I loved the book and had me hooked on Jessica’s writing.

So I knew I had to jump at a chance to Crime Scene Conspiracy. I loved the Texas setting and Texas Ranger Emily O’Connell. And crime scene clean up guy Stone Spencer was pretty cool too. While I read this one in September it’s actually a suspense set at Christmas. I loved the banter between Stone and Emily. As well as him accepting Emily for the strong and confident woman she is heck I think it makes him love her more. And just like Jessica’s previous suspense books the book has more suspense than romance which I love.

A Cry in the Dark by Jessica R Patch

Title: A Cry in the Dark

Author: Jessica R Patch

Pg: 368

Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating: 4.5 stars

Publisher: Love Inspired Suspense

A Cry in the Dark by Jessica Patch reminded me of a Criminal minds episode. But it kind of gave me nightmares not because it was like criminal minds which happens to be my comfort show. But because the book pretty much takes place in my backyard. Suspense novels set in Kentucky my home state keep me on edge especially those that could happen. Which is kind of the case for this one. But it’s still good. I did enjoy this one more than the first one in the series. And the team reminds me a bit of the Criminal minds team. I can’t wait till the third book.

Her Darkest Secret by Jessica R Patch

Title: Her Darkest Secret

Author: Jessica R Patch

 Pg:352

Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating: 4.5 stars

Publisher: Love Inspired

Her Darkest Secret was a romantic suspense novel that kept this reader on the edge of her seat. I’m normally not a fan of second chance romances but this one between Asa Kodiak and Fiona Kelly just seemed to work. And it didn’t hurt that this book could easily be Criminal minds episode.
