The Garden Girls by Jessica R Patch review

 Title: The Garden Girls

Author: Jessica R Patch

Ch: 30 plus epilogue

Pg: 367

Series: Strange Crimes

Genre: Christian Suspense with a hint of romance

Rating: 5 stars

Publisher: love inspired

I loved The Garden Girls. I have to say it might be my favorite of the series. But then I’ve wanted Tiberius Ty’s story since the first book Her Darkest Secret. And it didn’t give me nightmares like A Cry in Dark thought that was because it was in my backyard. But after reading The Garden Girls I’m not going to look at dogwood flowers the same way again.

I’m not going to lie Ty give me Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds vibes. And I loved his friendship with Owen. I love their banter.

Though this one kept me guessing from page one more so than the previous books. I have to say that I didn’t see that twist. Patch knows how to write page turning suspense that’s still faith filled.

Cold Case Target by Jessica R Patch review

Title: Cold Case Target

Author: Jessica R Patch

Ch: 14

Pg: 208

Series: Texas Crime scene cleaners

Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense

Rating: 4 stars

Publisher: love inspired

Cold Case Target kept me on my toes. I ended up finishing it in one day because I just had to know how it ended. Like with other books by this author, the balance between suspense and romance is the perfect balance. But what stands out to me the most is that Sissy's and Beau faith is clear though out the book. And while I'm normally not a fan of second chance romance but I found Sissy's and Beau story bittersweet and I love the ending we get.

I received a copy of this book from the author . I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

The Bookshop of Secrets by Mollie Rushmeyer review

Title: The Bookshop of Secrets

Author:  Mollie Rushmeyer

Ch: 22 plus epilogue

Genre:  Contemporary Christian

Rating: 4.5 stars

Publisher: Love Inspired

The Bookshop of Secrets by Mollie Rushmeyer is classified as Contemporary Christian, but I have to say there is an indeed a romantic thread at its heart. Hope Sparrow just wants to find the books her mom left her and get a fresh start. Ronan Barrick wants to make a difference in his hometown. But the town doesn’t want to forget his past. His grandpa Ulysses owns the town bookstore where Hopes books were sent. The two must work together on to solve two mysteries one of which involves pirates.

While both Hope and Ronan are imperfect people, they might just be right for each other. And journey together is what makes this a romance as well.

I do have to give a slight spoiler only because it could be a trigger for some readers. And part of it is mentioned earlier enough in the book. Hope is a survivor of human trafficking. A subject that Mollie handles with grace. And quite frankly we need more fiction authors to bring light to this. As fiction environment would allow more readers to learn about it. If the authors write it with tact and grace. This one had me reaching for tissues but I’m glad I read the book.

 Author:  Brenda Minton

Ch: 15 plus epilogue

Pg:  224

Series: Mercy Ranch book 6

Genre:  Christian contemporary romance

Rating: 4 stars

Publisher: love inspired

I think The Ranchers Holiday Arrangement is my favorite book by Brenda Minton. But I do know it contains my favorite hero. Joe Lawson is a one of kind hero who hasn’t let his military service nor his injury jade him he holds fast to his Faith. He’s the perfect hero for Daisy.

It was a great ending to the Mercy Ranch series and despite the title the book could be read at any time.

Review of Reunited with the Bull Rider

Reunited with the Bull RiderTitle: Reunited with the Bull Rider

Author: Jill Kemerer

Pages: 224

Genre: Christian romance

Rating: 4 Stars

When Nash Bolton left town without so much as a goodbye he left Amy Deerson's heart shattered. Now he's back in town with a kid. Amy wants to mentor children as she feels she will never have any of her own.  She didn't plan on being the mentor to the little girl Nash has brought back, when she learns that Ruby the little girl is Nash's sister she more inclined to help, but she doesn't want to be around Nash.  However, it seems that God and Ruby have other plans.
I enjoyed this sweet romance about two flawed people learning to let go of the mistakes of their past and learn to trust God with their future.  And Ruby was such a sweet little girl that you couldn’t help but love. The Bible verse that Amy Clings to in the book Isaiah 6:8 was in my life group lesson the day I started this book, and it’s been popping up a lot in by devotions and Bible. Sometimes even Christian Fiction novels can get you thinking as well as help fuel the desire to dive into God's word.
Overall I enjoyed this sweet read. I would recommend to anyone who loves clean romance with a sweet little girl and two people learning to follow God's plan.

Review of The Rancher Takes a Bride

Title: The Rancher Takes a Bride
The+Rancher+Takes+a+BrideAuthor: Brenda Minton
Genre: Christian Romance
Rating: 3.5 Stars
Publisher: Love Inspired
The Rancher Takes a Bride is the second book in the Martin's Crossings. It is about Duke Martin the second oldest Martin brother. After serving in the Army Duke is back in his hometown owning and running the town diner. He's about to get the shock of his life. He's a father to a twelve year old girl.

While I enjoyed reading this book I didn't love it as much as the first book in the series. But it was still good and well written. The romance was sweet but it just grab me. But I will still pick up the next book in the series as well as another book by the author.

Review of A Rancher for Christmas

A Rancher for Christmas by Brenda MintonTitle: A Rancher for Christmas

Author: Brenda Minton

Series: Martin’s Crossing book 1

Chapters: 18 Plus a epilogue

Pages: 215

Genre: Christian Romance

Rating: 5 stars

While I was sad to see  the Cooper’s and the Dawson go I really enjoyed A Rancher for Christmas the first book in the Martin’s Crossing series. It was a nice to see at least on familiar face in the book and in this case it was Breezy Hernandez Mia Cooper’s baby sister.  Mia finds out that she has a brother that she never knew about only to later lose him. She then finds that he named her co gurdain of his twin toddler girls with his best friend and brother-in-law Jake Martin.
After first Beezy and Jake don’t know what to make of each other or rather or not they can trust each other. It almost seems like it’s going to take a Christmas Miracle. My favorite character is Joe who everyone thinks he is a homeless drifter but that ends up being the biggest surprise in the book.

Overall I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next book in the series.  I received   an e-book from Netgalley in exchange for on honest review.

Lana Ross had been the bad girl in school in her small town. Now she’s back to try to make a better life for her and Syndey. Davis Turner just happens to be a widower and her high school crush.  She just wants to forget the past, but many in the town have a long memory including Davis’s sister. It will take a Christmas miracle and the prayers a little girl, as well as the friendship of three kids for the adults of Whisper Falls to see that Lana has changed.
Like other Love Inspired novels and Linda Goodnight’s novels I enjoyed Sugarplum Homecoming.  It was a sweet Christmas read. That showed the miracle of Christmas and the love of a Savior. That with God all things are indeed possible. When I started reading it I didn’t realize that it was the third book in the Whisper Falls series but it can be read on it’s own. Without reading the first two.  Like all the books in the Love Inspired line it is a clean romance at most they would be PG if you are going with a movie rating but most could be considered G. I would recommend it to most woman 17+.

Review of Wildflower Bride

Title: Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek

Author: Janet Tronstad

Series: Return to Dry Creek Love Inspired

Chapters: 14 plus epilogue

Pages: 317

Genre: Christian Romance

Rating: 4 ½ stars

Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek is the story of the third Stone Brother Tyler. Tyler has come back from Afagatsian. He was in the army to he was injured in combat. He has a job to do for his old boss to bring the man’s daughter home for her wedding. Angelina Brighton has other plans she loves her life in Dry Creek and wants to marry for love.  Tyler being part Cherokee Angelina’s father didn’t think he was good enough for his daughter.
Out of the three Stone brothers Tyler was my favorite. I think in many ways because one of my two favorite types of hero’s are military and cowboys; and Tyler Stone is both. Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek is an enjoyable read with a happy ending as is true with most love inspired books.
